Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad for someone who knows Java well and also understands front-end basics. You’ll be building application modules, writing logic for APIs, and working closely with the rest of the development team. It’s a great fit for freshers with around 1 year of experience or someone who has worked on college projects and is ready for real-world coding challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Go through functional requirements and discuss them with your reporting manager before writing code • Plan your development tasks in a clear way to avoid rework and get approval before starting • Deliver error-free code within the given timeline • Prepare and maintain simple documentation for each development task • Stay in regular touch with team members to keep things aligned • Run unit or integration testing on your own module before handing it over to QA • Use GitHub and JIRA for task updates, time logging, and submitting work for QA • Respond quickly to issues reported by QA to ensure smooth delivery • Loop in the right people whenever you have doubts or need clarity • Analyze, code, test, and debug software—and suggest small improvements to existing processes • Turn requirements into clear technical steps and identify any app issues early • Stay patient and focused when facing tough bugs or learning new tech

Qualifications & Requirements

• Good knowledge of Java (Core, Advanced, and Collections) • Familiarity with Spring, Kafka, and Hibernate frameworks • Worked on Eclipse IDE and Apache Tomcat server • Hands-on experience with MySQL 8.0+, MongoDB, or Cassandra • Basic understanding of front-end languages: HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, XSL, CSS, Bootstrap • Ability to prepare and analyze simple data sets • Comfortable using GitHub and JIRA for daily tasks

Must-Have Non-Negotiables

• At least 1 year of experience or strong project-level exposure to Java development • Solid understanding of Java collections and core concepts • Ability to write clean, logical, and error-free code • Good communication and team coordination skills • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Nice-to-Have Skills & Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with Leaflet or mapping libraries • Experience writing test cases for your own code • Basic understanding of API development for web or mobile apps • Previous experience working in an Agile or JIRA-based environment
